Close By but Never Crowded
A private place for visiting family, a parent close by, or an office across the yard. We design each casita to match your home and handle the permits and HOA approval, so it feels like it was always part of the property.

- Detached casitas: a private retreat a few steps from the main house
- Guest houses: a place where visiting family can settle in and feel at home
- ADUs: independent living space for a parent, an adult child or rental income
- Garage conversions: unused space turned into real living space, like our Redfield project
- Home offices and studios: quiet space to work, create or unwind across the yard

What to Expect When You Add a Casita
Placement and Approvals
We start by walking your property to find the best spot for privacy, views and access. Then we take care of the permits, inspections and HOA approval, so you don’t have to navigate city rules on your own.
Designed to Match
Your casita should look like it was always part of the property. We design it around your home’s style, rooflines and finishes, then plan the inside around who will live there.
Comfort Built In
Water, power and cooling are planned from the start, along with a bathroom, sleeping space and, if you want one, a kitchenette. Your written plan includes a realistic schedule, and we update you before you have to ask.
A Recent Project: Chandler Garage Conversion
At Redfield, we turned an underused garage into real living space and remodeled the kitchen and home office along the way. It’s a good example of how much room a home already has once you look at it differently. You can watch the full transformation on our Projects page.
Casita, Guest House or ADU?
You’ll hear all three names, and they often describe the same thing: a separate living space on your property. In Arizona, “casita” usually means a small detached home in the backyard. “Guest house” is the more common term elsewhere.
“ADU,” short for accessory dwelling unit, is the official name many cities use in their building rules. Whatever you call it, the questions are the same: where it can go, what it needs, and how you’ll use it. Rules vary by city and HOA, and we look at what applies to your property during planning.
We build casitas, guest houses and ADUs in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Ahwatukee and Queen Creek.
